What is the cost of an Assisted Living Community in New Hampshire?

March 2, 2014 by Dawn Dumont

The cost of assisted living services in New Hampshire ranges between $3000 Month- $8000 Month. In addition to the type of licensure, the type of accommodations and amount of personal care and medical care required will affect the total cost.

Assisted Living care delivered within a Residential Care Home offer assistance with Activities of Daily Living and usually do not have licensed medical staff. Many of these types of programs exist in private residences and average $3000 month for a private bedroom. The accommodations for residents who rely on Medicaid (“Choices for Independence Program”) to cover the cost of care may have to share a bedroom. All the same care and amenities are available to Medicaid residents.

The cost of Assisted Living care delivered within a Supported Residential Care Program within a larger apartment complex varies significantly and is predominantly private pay. Accommodations range from shared apartments to 2 bedroom apartments and costs range between $3500-$7000 month. Some communities offer a flat rate based on the type of accommodations while others base their rates on the amount of personal and medical care a resident requires. These types of communities have 24hour licensed medical staff.

It is with pleasure that I provide this recommendation. Giving you little to no notice, our family appreciated the chance to sit and talk with you about assisted living for our Mom. It is because of your help that one week after being discharged from Concord Hospital she has a new home. Due to licensing, it was a community that we would have otherwise overlooked. I honestly believe this is your calling.
